Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy argued that the Democratic Party seeks candidates they can control, which is why figures like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are prominent. His remarks followed Kamala Harris' first interview on CNN, where she was accompanied by her running mate, Tim Walz. On X, Ramaswamy stated, "Kamala’s interview last night reminded us that we’re not just running against a candidate; we’re running against a system. They need a candidate they can control, which means having original ideas is a disqualification. That’s why we end up with Biden, then Kamala, and so on."
Elon Musk, who has openly endorsed Donald Trump, supported Ramaswamy’s perspective.
